Performance Review

November 2021

It's been good to see Thousand progressing with each start and I thought he ran a cracker when second at Dundalk on his first run in a nursery this month. He seems to love that quick surface and I think he'll make a nice horse over a mile and a quarter next season.

Morning Approach also ran a lovely race when fourth over a mile at Dundalk, the scene of her debut win last year. That surface looks to be very much to her liking too. She's still growing as a big filly and the more time she gets, the more it will help her improve.

We also had Mogwli make his first start at Laytown when fifth. He seemed to like the beach, but only for going swimming!

It might be a quieter time of year in terms of runners, but we're all kept busy at Rathbride Stables with plenty of work to be done in the yard.

We're currently renovating a barn and installing windows, as well as painting the boxes and the usual breaking of yearlings. Here's hoping we'll have some nice youngsters to look forward to in a few months' time.
