Performance Review

February 2021

Our preparations for the season ahead stepped up another gear this month as some of the stable's older horses returned to training. February can be a bit of a gruelling month for them as we try to get their fitness levels up, but we're happy with how things are going so far.

We had a very small number of runners on the track during the month but it was good to see Ben Asker run well on his first handicap start at Dundalk when third over seven furlongs. He's probably limited but he's an honest three-year-old and it'd be great if he could get a win on the board for his owner Nasir Askar.

We also had Mo Celita finish sixth in a maiden at Dundalk over six furlongs. She's since been sold on to race for new connections in the UK and hopefully she'll be lucky for them.

Everyone here at Rathbride Stables is working hard in the lead up to the new turf season, looking forward to the months ahead.
